Volunteers are truly what make Astoria Farmers Market a top-notch experience for our vendors and community, and are the most crucial part of our team. Volunteers support with event set-up and break-down, selling merch, and directing guests during the event.
If you'd like to volunteer during an upcoming market, sign up through the email form below and we'll reach out to you!
Our most vital volunteer slot, where we need the most hands! Morning volunteers help vendors cart items from their van to the market area (Lifting involved!) and support market organizers with setting up the AFM info tent.
10–15 volunteers needed!
Mid-event, our volunteers help us track market attendance and assist with crowd control and wellness checks. Volunteers are also key in helping us work the AFM merchandise/information table.
4–6 volunteers needed!
This mirrors our set-up shift, but is less labor intensive as there is much less (if any!) product to dolly during breakdown. Help vendors and organizers breakdown and load equipment into vehicles, and pick up any debris on the street.
