Astoria Farmers Market IS returning this spring! We look forward to posting our 2026 season information in May. We appreciate your patience, as event permitting for AFM takes place on the city's timeline.
Astoria Farmers Market is subject to planning timelines set by our host 31st Ave Open Street, and their permitting body, the Department of Transportation. We will be able to post our 2026 season schedule once we have been given the go-ahead by these organizations.
Not to worry, we are working closely with event planning partners to prepare for our return this Spring! Stay tuned on our Instagram for soonest updates.
AFM has previously taken place on 31st Avenue between 34th–35th Streets in Astoria, Queens, NY.
Previously Astoria Farmers Market has taken place between 1:00–5:00PM on Second Sundays of the month, May through November. Updates to our 2026 schedule will be posted on our website and Instagram once approved!
At this time, the Astoria Farmers Market is only offered monthly, though organizers are working towards increasing the event frequency for the 2026 season. We are a 2-person organizing team, and 2025 was AFM's inaugural year. We are taking it one step at a time, and appreciate your understanding!
No, Astoria Farmers Market is only open from May through November, on the Second Sundays of each month for the 2025 season. While we intend to stay a peak-season market for the foreseeable future, we are continually gauging interest in a year-round market. If this is meaningful to you, feel free to let us know in our Feedback Form!
Our market footprint in 2025 was limited to approximately 25–30 vendors per event. Due to both high demand and our wonderfully active food and agricultural community, we have historically operated at full capacity each market date!
Applications are currently open for the 2026 market season! Interested vendors are welcome to complete our Vendor Interest Form.
We waived all vendor fees in 2025, being our inaugural year. We appreciate our 2025 vendors for taking a chance on our new market! Beginning with our 2026 season, vending at AFM will include a financial commitment which is discussed during new vendor onboarding.
Astoria Farmers Market partners with 31st Avenue Open Street to operate under the nonprofit's concessionaire permit, which is procured through the NYC Department of Transportation annually.
Yes, leashed dogs are allowed at Astoria Farmers Market!
Thank you so much — there are several ways!
We always welcome and appreciate new volunteers! You make the biggest impact to the success of each market. Visit our Volunteering page to learn more about what's involved. There, you can sign up to receive communications about upcoming volunteer opportunities!
Community feedback has indicated the importance of prioritizing food vendors at Astoria Farmers Market. At this time we have limited capacity for artisans, though we are happy to accept submissions for future openings through our Vendor Interest Form.
Please feel free to share your thoughts (available to submit anonymously) through our Feedback Form. We appreciate your feedback!
